Does Lakeville Brewing Company Allow Dogs?

Lakeville Brewing Company is a restaurant/brewery that allows dogs in their backyard area. Dogs are not allowed in the building, but they are welcome to be in the large fenced-in grassy yard behind the brewery.

I love going to the Lakeville brewery, not only because I love their food and beers, but also because it is a place where I am welcome to bring my dog. The backyard at the brewery is a lot of fun in the summer and the better weather days in the spring and fall because you get to see so many dogs. If you bring a dog, you will not feel weird, as if you were the only person who has ever brought a dog to the brewery.

I don't think I've ever been in their backyard patio area when there wasn't at least one dog. Usually there are many. If you love dogs but don't actually have one of your own, this backyard space is a great place to get some time with friendly dogs! People typically only bring well-behaved dogs to public spaces like this, and the owners are usually more than happy to let you pet their dogs!

I'm not sure if there is a formal rule on leashes, but I've always had my dog on a leash while at the brewery, and I've never seen anyone else with their dog off a leash. It is not a dog park environment where dogs are running around free-range. The dogs are usually tethered to the corner of a picnic table, either laying down in the grass or sniffing around the ground by the table. Typical dog stuff.

I have never seen any pets at Lakeville Brewing Company except for dogs, but their website mentions that they are pet friendly. That sounds to me like if you wanted to bring your cat or some other pet, that you would be permitted to.

Does Angry Inch Brewing Allow Dogs?

If you are trying to plan a night out where you can visit more than one brewery with your dog, then the downtown Lakeville area is just what you are looking for. Not only are you welcome to bring your dog to Lakeville Brewing Company, but on the same block, on Holyoke Avenue (the main street in downtown Lakeville), there is another dog-friendly brewery.

Angry Inch Brewing does not allow dogs in their building, but they have a concrete patio space on the side of their building which allows dogs. The space is fenced in, but I believe that leashes are also required at this brewery at all times.

The staff at Angry Inch loves when people bring their dogs with them! They have water dishes at the ready which they will quickly fill and bring to your table so your dog can have something to drink too! And not only water, but they usually will ask if they can give your dog a treat of some kind! I believe it is usually some kind of milk bone biscuit.

Pet-Friendly Breweries In Lakeville, MN

It is really fortunate and convenient that there are two really great breweries so close to each other that both allow dogs! If you are looking for something fun to do with your dog on a nice summer day, consider bringing them with to downtown Lakeville so you can drink some craft beer and they can enjoy laying in the sun (and probably see other dogs too!).

If you want to read more about either of these breweries, I have actually written reviews of both of them on this blog. You can read my review of Lakeville Brewing Company here, and my review of Angry Inch Brewing here.
